​Project Overview

Located in Franklin Township and Jefferson Township in Greene County – This $4.8 m​ilion project begins at the intersection of Route 21 (Roy E. Furman Highway) and Route 19 (Mt. Morris Road) and proceeds east for approximately 3.5 miles to the intersection Route 21 and Route 2026 (Rolling Meadows Road).

The scope of work will include concrete patching, milling and resurfacing, diamond grinding, high friction surface treatment, signal upgrades, replacing guide rail to current standards, tree trimming, upgrade to ADA ramp, repair of mountable curb, inlet top replacement, replacing delineation and signing.

The project was awarded to Gulisek Construction LLC.

Project Update

05/06/24 - Contractor is continuing concrete pavement patching, concrete pavement repairs, and inlet repairs through the area of Route 21 between Airport Drive and Elm Drive. The roadway in this area is currently limited to one lane of traffic in each direction. Short term stoppages of traffic to allow equipment to enter and exit the travel lane may occur. The road work in this area will continue until the roadway is reopened for Memorial Day on 05.24.24.  ​​​

​​04/19/24 - The contractor has set lane closures in the area between Airport Drive and Elm Drive. Short term stoppages of traffic to allow for equipment entering and exiting the construction areas may occur. Once work is completed in the travel lanes, the work zone will be moved to the passing lanes. The four-lane roadway in this area will be limited to a single lane in each direction until May 24th for concrete pavement patching, inlet repairs, and concrete median repairs. Work also includes the re-direction of traffic on​to a temporary exit Ramp when exiting I-79 Southbound to Waynesburg to allow for concrete ramp repairs.
