Route 21 Roy E. Furman Highway Restrictions Begin Monday in Greene County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 announcing that single-lane restrictions are scheduled to begin Monday, April 15, on Route 21 (Roy E. Furman Highway) between Elm Drive and Airport Drive/Murtha Drive in Franklin Township, Greene County.

Single lanes of traffic will be continuously open in each direction and are anticipated through late May. Short-term traffic stoppages may occur for jobsite equipment entry and egress.

Crews from Gulisek Construction will be patching concrete and repairing pavements and inlets throughout the area.

This work is part of the $4.9 million Route 21 East of Waynesburg concrete patching project. The full scope includes concrete patching, dowel retrofit, cross stitching, spall and mountable curb repair, milling and resurfacing, high friction surface treatment, inlet tops replacement, guide rail, signal upgrades, delineation, and signing. The full job – which will require long-term single-lane restrictions – is anticipated to continue through October 2024.

Exercise caution while approaching the work zone. Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
