Maintenance Project on Route 54 This Week in Mount Carmel Township, Northumberland County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised of lane restrictions this week on Route 54 in Mount Carmel Township, Northumberland County, for a maintenance project.

On Monday, June 17, 2024, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will be performing skin patching on Route 54 between Marion Heights Road (Route 2028) and Route 61.

On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, PennDOT will be performing skin patching on Route 54 between Route 901 and Mount Carmel / Merriam Mountain Highway (Route 2023).

Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM each day. Motorists can expect lane restrictions with flagging where work is being performed.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
