Fry Road Bridge Replacement Project
Project Overview
This is a project to replace the bridge that carries Fry Road over a tributary ofFrench Creek in Cussewago Township, Crawford County.
The bridge is located on Fry Road (Route 1015) approximately 1/4 mile north of the intersection with East Forest Road and Skeltontown Road (Route 1006).
The project includes replacing the deteriorated bridge with a precast box culvert. No major change in roadway grade anticipated. The roadway on either side of the bridge will be milled and paved. Shoulder backup work will be done as needed.
The existing reinforced concrete slab bridge was built in 1942. It is rated in poor condition. Approximately 800 vehicles a day use the bridge, on average.
Work is expected to occur during the 2025 construction season and will last approximately six weeks.
Traffic Impacts
A detour will be required during construction. The proposed 6.8 mile detour route will be posted using Irish Road (Route 1008), Blystone Road (Route 1017), and Skeltontown Road.
