Pavement Preservation Project on Various Routes in South Central PA to Continue on I-81, I-83

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a districtwide pavement preservation project is set to continue next week on Interstate 81 in Franklin County and Interstate 83 in York County.

Weather permitting, work will be performed on I-81 between Exit 14 (Route 316/Wayne Avenue) and Exit 20 (Route 997/Scotland) in Franklin County. The contractor will work from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM beginning the night of Monday, September 23. Work at this location will be for two or three nights. There will be lane restrictions in both directions of I-81.

Once this work is completed, the contractor will work the same hours on I-83 in York County from Exit 33 (Route 392/Yocumtown) to Exit 28 (Route 297/Strinestown/Zions View). There will be lane restrictions in both directions of I-83. This work could take approximately two weeks to complete.
