Multiple Bridges Spanning Route 283 in Dauphin County to be Inspected Next Week

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that multiple bridges spanning Route 283 in Londonderry and Lower Swatara townships, Dauphin County, are scheduled to be inspected next week.

Weather permitting, bridges carrying Oberlin Road, Vine Street, Newberry Road and Toll House Road over Route 283 will be inspected from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 17, through Friday, September 20.

One bridge will be inspected per day in the order listed above. There will be single lane closures on eastbound and westbound Route 283 at the bridges during work hours.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
