Cross Pipe Replacement Project to Begin on Turnpike Road (Route 4008) in Lancaster County

Traffic will be detoured

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a PennDOT maintenance crew is scheduled to begin a cross pipe replacement project on Turnpike Road (Route 4008) in Lancaster County. The pipe is located just west of Elizabethtown Borough in West Donegal Township.

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, July 29. The road will be closed at the pipe. A detour will be in place using Route 241 (Bainbridge Road) and Route 441 (River Road).

The work is expected to be completed and the road open to traffic on or before Friday, August 30.
