Signal Activation Next Week at Cornwall Road (Route 2001) and Realigned Wilhelm Avenue in City of Lebanon, N. Cornwall Township, Lebanon County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the new traffic signal located at the intersection of Cornwall Road (Route 2001) and the realigned section of Wilhelm Avenue in the City of Lebanon and North Cornwall Township, Lebanon County, is expected to be fully activated next week. 

The signal will be placed on flash mode today. It is expected to be fully activated Tuesday, July 2.

This work is part of a project that includes the realignment of Wilhelm Avenue to create a 4-way signalized intersection with York Street and Cornwall Road. Improvements also involve sidewalk connectivity improvements, ADA compliant curb ramps, bike lane accommodations, drainage improvements, lighting, and other miscellaneous construction.

All work is expected to be completed by September 11, 2024.

H&K Group, Inc., of Skippack, PA, is the contractor on this $1,842,599 project.
