Resurfacing Project to Begin on Business Loop 83/George Street in York County

​Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a resurfacing project is expected to begin next week on Business Loop 83 (Route 3075) near the City of York in York County. The project limits extend from the ramps at Interstate 83 (Exit 15) in York Township to West Drive at WellSpan York Hospital in Spring Garden Township. The project also includes work on the ramps at Exit 15 and a section of George Street (Route 3001) that runs from Business Loop 83 north to West Drive.

Weather permitting, work will begin on Monday, April 1.

There will be short-term lane closures during nighttime hours. No lane closures are permitted between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM and at least one lane of traffic will be maintained when the work zone is active. There may be short-term ramp closures at night.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

This resurfacing project consists of base repair, milling, paving, minor drainage updates, guide rail updates, and other miscellaneous work.

JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor on this $4,419,320 project. All work is expected to be completed by September 27, 2024.
