Route 32 (River Road) Reopened Following Roadway Repair in Nockamixon, Bridgeton townships -Weekday closure begins tomorrow for resurfacing operations

07/02/2024

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Route 32 (River Road) was reopened this afternoon between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Bridgeton Hill Road in Nockamixon and Bridgeton townships, Bucks County, following roadway repair.

Route 32 (River Road) was closed on Wednesday, June 26, following the discovery of pavement washout located in the southbound lane about a mile south of Narrows Hill Road. PennDOT crews addressed the unstable soils, used flowable fill to stabilize the area, and paved the roadway.

Beginning, tomorrow, July 3, Route 32 (River Road) will be closed weekdays in the same area for paving operations. Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Monday, July 3, and Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 32 (River Road) will be closed between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Bridgeton Hill Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Bridgeton Hill Road/Marienstein Road and Route 611 (Easton Road). Local access will be maintained.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because slowdowns will occur. All activities are weather dependent.
