Resurfacing Operations Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways in Chester, Montgomery, Philadelphia Counties

06/28/2024

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are scheduled on several state highways in Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, July 1, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Route 472 (Market Street) and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Oxford Borough and Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, and West Fallowfield townships, Chester County for sealing.
  • Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Joshua Road between Cedar Grove Road and Flourtown Road in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County for milling, paving, and inlet cleaning.
  • Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Aramingo Avenue/Harbison Avenue between Wheatsheaf Lane and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) in Philadelphia for paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
