HBO to Close Two State Highways in Chadds Ford Township

​King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that HBO will close two state highways in Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County, beginning Monday, July 8. 

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
  • Monday, July 8, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, Beaver Dam Road will be closed and detoured between Brandywine Creek Road and Beaver Valley Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Brandywine Creek Road, Route 92 (Ramsey Road), and Beaver Valley Road.  
  • Monday, July 8, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, Smithbridge Road will be closed and detoured between Ridge Road and Heyburn Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Ridge Road and U.S. 202. 
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. 

HBO will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. 

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
