King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction activities are planned next week on U.S. 422 under an $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Sunday June 16, through Friday, June 21, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between Keim Street and Evergreen Road for roadway reconstruction.
- Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 8:00 PM to 1:00 PM the following day, a lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between Evergreen Road and Armand Hammer Boulevard for barrier removal and guiderail installation.
- Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a periodic lane closure will be in place on Sanatoga Road between Linfield Road and High Street for bridge construction.
- Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a single lane closure with flagging will be in place on Porter Road between Sanatoga Station Road and E. High Street for barrier installation.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
