Inlet Repair Continues Next Week on Lawrence Road in Haverford Township, Delaware County

12/07/2023

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that inlet repair continues next week on Lawrence Road in Haverford Township under a project to repair and pave 28 state highways in Delaware County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Monday, December 11, through Friday, December 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Lawrence Road between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and Eagle Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this pavement improvement project, PennDOT will mill and resurface 45 miles of state highways in Delaware County using bituminous material. The new pavements will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Allan Myers of Worcester, Montgomery County, PA, is the general contractor on this $16,945,945 resurfacing project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
