King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction is scheduled next week on sections of Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.

The curb and rumble strip removal is among the early-stage construction activities underway on PennDOT's $329 million I-95/CAP project to replace, expand and improve the existing covered section of I-95 and improve multi-modal connections between Center City and the Delaware River waterfront.
The temporary signs are being installed for the upcoming closure of the southbound Allegheny Avenue Interchange beginning on Monday, August 14 under PennDOT's $31.2 million I-95/AF2 project. The southbound on and off-ramps along with Allegheny Avenue between Richmond Street and I-95 will close during this construction. The interchange is anticipated to reopen on Friday, September 22.
