Construction Activities Scheduled on I-95, I-76, and Other State Highways in Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled on Interstate 95, Interstate 76, and other state highways in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Philadelphia

  • Tuesday, July 18, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 at the South Street Interchange for bridge inspection.

Bucks County

  • Wednesday, July 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Route 63 and the Route 132 interchanges in Bensalem Township for bridge inspection.

Chester County

  • Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Kennett-Oxford Bypass) between the New Garden Township line and the U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) Interchange in Kennett, East Marlborough, and New Garden townships for line striping; and
  • Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 30 (Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass/Exton Bypass) between the Route 10 and the U.S. 202 interchanges in Sadsbury, West Caln, Valley, Caln, East Caln, and West Whiteland townships, City of Coatesville, and Downingtown Borough for line striping.

Delaware County

  • Monday, July 17, and Tuesday, July 18, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure is scheduled on northbound Interstate 476 between the U.S. 1 and Route 3 interchanges in Marple Township for guiderail installation; and
  • Tuesday, July 18, through Thursday, July 20, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-476 between the MacDade Boulevard and the Route 3 interchanges in Marple and Nether Providence townships for guiderail installation.

Montgomery County

  • Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Allentown Road between County Line Road and Route 63 (Forty Foot Road) in Salford, Franconia, and Towamencin townships for line striping;
  • Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 611 (Easton Road/York Road/Old York Road) between County Line Road and Cheltenham Avenue in Jenkintown Borough, Cheltenham, Montgomery, Abington, Upper Moreland, and Horsham townships for line striping;
  • Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Bethlehem Pike between the Route 309 Interchange and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Lower Gwynedd, Upper Dublin and Whitemarsh townships and Ambler Borough for line striping;
  • Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Township Line Road/Norristown Road between U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) and Butler Pike in East Norriton, Whitpain, and Plymouth townships for line striping;
  • Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Phoenixville Collegeville Road/Collegeville Road/Bridge Street) between the U.S. 422 Interchange and the Chester County line in Upper Providence for line striping
  • Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) between the Philadelphia County line and the Bucks County line in Rockledge and Bryn Athyn boroughs and Abington and Lower Moreland townships for line striping;
  • Sunday, July 16, through Friday, July 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled in both direction on I-476 between the Delaware County line and the Germantown Avenue Interchange in West Conshohocken Borough and Plymouth and Lower Merion townships for line striping;
  • Monday, July 17, through Friday July 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Hanover Street at the Chestnut Street Intersection in Pottstown Borough for ADA ramp installation; and
  • Monday, July 17, through Friday July 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Hanover Street at the Walnut Street Intersection in Pottstown Borough for ADA ramp installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
