Paving, Bridge Repair, Roadway Construction Continue at Night Under Two Interstate 476 Improvement Projects in Delaware, Montgomery Counties

11/15/2024

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction activities will continue at night under two separate projects to improve travel and safety on I-476, the associated on-and-off ramps and bridges in Delaware and Montgomery counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The milling and paving is part of a $16.2 million project to improve travel and safety on MacDade Boulevard and at the northbound I-476 and MacDade Boulevard Interchange.

The patching, bridge repair and guiderail replacement are part of a $63.7 million project to resurface, repair and improve approximately 17 miles of the interstate from I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County, to I-95 in Ridley Township, Delaware County.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
