Detour on Route 2008 Marshwood Road in Lackawanna County

Dunmore, PA – There will be a temporary detour on Route 2008 (Marshwood Road) in Lackawanna county for pipe work. The detour will take place Monday, July 15, 2024, through Monday July 29, 2024.

Detour from Route 2008 Marshwood Road eastbound:
 

  • Travel onto Route 6 eastbound Casey Highway on ramp
  • Continue on Roue 6 eastbound
  • Take Exit 3 (Jessup) to the traffic light
  • Make a right hand turn on Route 247 southbound
  • This will return you back to Route 2008 (Marshwood Road) and 247 southbound split

 
Detour from Route 247 northbound at Route 2008 Marshwood Road westbound split:
 

  • Continue traveling on Route 247 northbound
  • Make a right turn onto Route 6 Casey Highway westbound ramp
  • Continue on Route 6 Casey Highway westbound
  • Take Exit 1 (Marshwood Road) to the end of the off ramp
  • Continue to the end of ramp make a right turn back onto Route 2008 Marshwood Road eastbound

When encountering a work zone, please drive the posted speed limit, turn on your headlights, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, and avoid all distractions. In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes of travel to the merge point and take turns merging into the open lane.
