Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that a portion of Route 2018 (Kirby Garards Fort Road) is scheduled to close Monday, July 29, between Rocky Ridge Road and Route 2011 (Garards Fort Road) in Whiteley Township, Greene County. 

Crews from Plum Contracting will be repairing a slide – a $1.88M infrastructure improvement investment. Work is anticipated through late August depending on weather and operations. 

A 20-mile posted detour will be in place using: 

• Route 2018 (Kirby Garards Fort Road).
• Interstate 79.
• Route 21 (Roy E. Furman Highway).
• Route 2026 (Rolling Meadows Road).
  
• Route 2011 (Fordyce Road, Garards Fort Road).
