Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that Route 1061 (Mingo Church Road) is scheduled to close Monday, July 1, between Keeney Road and Route 88 (Finleyville Road) in Union Township, Washington County.
Washington County maintenance department bridge crew will be replacing the bridge that carries Mingo Church Road over Froman Run with a precast box culvert. It will also be widening and paving the roadway approach. This is a $600K infrastructure improvement investment.
The closure is anticipated through early October and all work depends on weather and operations.
A 6.3 mile posted detour (map attached) will be in place using:
- Route 1061 (Mingo Church Road).
- Route 1059 (Sugar Run Road).
- Route 1006 (Venetia Road, Rankintown Road, Washington Avenue).
- Route 88 (Washington Avenue, Brownsville Road, Finleyville Road).
