Line Painting Scheduled Monday and Tuesday on Route 156 in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that line painting operations are scheduled to occur Monday, June 24 and Tuesday, June 25 on Route 156 (Westmoreland Avenue) in Avonmore Borough, Westmoreland County.

Due to line painting operations, there will be no on street parking between Second Street and Sixth Street in Avonmore Borough Monday, June 24 and Tuesday, June 25.

Work, conducted by district maintenance department forces depending on weather and operations.

Roadway line painting is an important part of PennDOT's highway safety initiatives. Paint lines provide direction, delineation, and guidance to motorists.

Motorists who accidentally get paint on their vehicles should immediately wash it off with a high-pressure water stream and detergent. Dried paint can be removed with de-natured alcohol and a soft cloth. PennDOT is generally not responsible for paint on vehicles.

Use caution and be aware of changing traffic patterns when driving through the area.
