Route 711 Ligonier Street Bridge Replacement Begins Monday in Westmoreland County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that Route 711 (Ligonier Street) is scheduled to close Monday, June 24, between Route 1006 (Creek Road) in Fairfield Township and Clark Hollow Road in St. Clair Township, Westmoreland County.

Crews from C.H. & D. Enterprises will be replacing the bridge that carries Ligonier Street over a tributary of Tubmill Creek with a pre-cast concrete box culvert and minor approach work. It is a $2.5M infrastructure investment.

The closure is anticipated through early July depending on weather and operations.

Posted detours will be in place.

​Northbound Route 711 (Market Street Extension):

      • ​​​​Turn right onto Route 1004 (Thatcher Road).
      • Turn left onto Route 1007 (Ross Mountain Park Road).
      • ​​Turn right onto Route 711 North (Ligonier Street).

​​Southbound Route 711 (13th Street):

      • Turn right onto Route 1001 (Ligonier Street), Route 2009, Route 2008 (Climax Street).
      • Stay straight onto Route 2011 (Mulligan Hill Road).
      • Turn left onto Route 259 (Robinson Road/Street, High Street, Lincoln Avenue, Main Street).
      • Turn left onto Route 1006 (Creek Road).
      • Turn right onto Route 711 South (Ligonier Street).

Trucks:

​Northbound Route 711 (Market Street):

      • Veer right onto Route 271 (Menoher Highway/Boulevard, Haynes Street).
      • Turn left onto Route 403 (Napoleon Street).
      • Turn right onto Route 56 (Johnstown Extension, Roosevelt Boulevard, Broad Street).
      • Turn left onto Route 56 (Fairfield Avenue, Strayer Street, Haws Pike, Keystone Road).
      • Turn right onto Route 711 North (Charles Road).

​Southbound Route 711 (Second Street):

      • Take Route 56 (Keystone Road, Haws Pike, Strayer Street, Fairfield Avenue).
      • Turn right onto Route 56 (Broad Street, Roosevelt Boulevard, Johnstown Extension).
      • Turn left onto Route 403 (Napoleon Street).
      • Turn right onto Route 271 (Haynes Street, Menoher Boulevard/Highway).
      • Turn left onto Route 711 South (Market Street Extension).
