Line Painting Operations Continue Next Week in District 11

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists that line painting operations on various roadways in Allegheny and Lawrence counties will occur Monday through Friday, July 1-5 weather permitting.

Work to repaint lines will occur daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the following locations:

​Allegheny County 

  • Route 130 in various locations

  • Route 286 in Plum Borough

  • Route 380 in various locations

  • Route 1001 (Freeport Road, Pittsburgh Street) from Fox Chapel Road in Fox Chapel Borough to Butler County

Lawrence County

  • Route 168 between Route 18 and Cherry Street in Taylor Township

  • Route 422 in the City of New Castle

  • Route 1003 (Old Plank Road) in Neshannock Township

  • Route 1005 (Highland Road, Mercer Road, Old Mercer Road) in various municipalities

  • Route 1007 (South Cascade Street) in the City of New Castle

  • Route 2002 (Bryson Mill Road) in Shenango Township and South New Castle Borough

  • Route 2032 (East Cherry Street) in the City of New Castle and Taylor Township

  • Route 3007 (North Liberty Street, Atlantic Avenue, South Atlantic Avenue) in the City of New Castle and Union Township in Union Township

  • Route 4007 (Old Youngstown Road, Matthews Road)

No work will occur on Thursday, July 4 due to Independence Day.

Roadway line painting is an important part of PennDOT’s highway safety initiatives. Paint lines provide direction, delineation, and guidance to motorists.

Generally, PennDOT is not responsible for paint on vehicles.

Motorists should use caution and be aware of changing traffic patterns when driving through the area. 

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
