Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing the closure of a portion of Route 48 (Boston Hollow Road) in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, will begin Monday, June 24 weather permitting.

Crews will conduct wall replacement work on a section of Route 48 beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, June 24.  To allow the work to occur, the roadway will close to traffic around-the-clock between Finney Road and West Smithfield Street through late August. Additional work includes roadway and shoulder reconstruction. Traffic will be detoured via West Smithfield Street and Finney Road.

Crews from A. Liberoni, Inc will conduct the work.

Please use caution while driving through the area.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
