PennDOT/BPC Announce Correction Regarding Jenks Street Closure as the I-80 North Fork Bridges Project Continues to Move Forward in Brookville, Jefferson County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Bridging Pennsylvania Constructors (BPC) are announcing an update to the current road closure for Jenks Street (Route 4003) in Brookville in support of the I-80 North Fork Bridges Project.

The Jenks Street closure began on September 23, 2024, and it will remain closed to motorists and pedestrians until December 31, 2025. Please note that the previous press release contained an incorrect end date for the detour.

Traffic on I-80 has been shifted towards the center median and will remain two lanes of traffic in each direction after partial demolition is complete. Nighttime I-80 lane closures will periodically occur throughout the duration of the Jenks Street closure.

For the detour, motorists are advised to use Jenks Street (Route 4003), Maplevale Road, (T-845) Allegheny Boulevard (Route 36), Main Street (Route 322) and Valley Street.

As the project continues, ongoing coordination and updates with local Emergency Management Services (EMS) will occur.
