Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Route 422 West ramps to Business Route 422 (Ramp C and Ramp D) will be closed through November 8, 2024 as crews complete paving and patching in West Kittanning, Armstrong County.
Detour routes are posted. For the Ramp D detour, motorists should use the West Hills Exit to take Route 422 East to Ramp A: West Kittanning Exit to merge onto Business Route 422. For the Ramp C detour, motorists will follow Route 422 West and take Ramp B to South Water Street/Business Route 422. Turn left onto the Citizen's Bridge to continue on Business Route 422.
Contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, State College, PA will be completing this $15.6 million resurfacing project that will conclude at the end of November 2024. The project includes the Route 268-West Kittanning interchange in Armstrong County, between Worthington Borough in Armstrong County and the intersection of Graham/Burke Road in Butler County and at a bridge spanning Lake Arthur in Moraine State Park in Butler County.
