Lane Restrictions Planned for Interstate 80 in Mercer County

06/20/2024

Drivers should be alert for daylight and nighttime lane restrictions on Interstate 80 eastbound in Mercer County next week, as crews complete repairs to the highway from the Ohio state border to mile marker 12.

Lindy Paving, Inc. of New Galilee will be completing the work, which will include pavement patching to repair deteriorated sections of the interstate.

Construction is expected to happen between June 24 and June 28, 2024, and may involve some nighttime work. Drivers should expect delays and slow-moving traffic, especially during typical commute hours in the mornings and evenings.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
