The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) updated drivers on a project to improve approximately five miles of Route 522 in Lewistown Borough, Derry, and Decatur townships in Mifflin County. The project will address drainage deficiencies throughout the corridor and improve the ride quality of the road surface and multiple structures within the project limits.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that round the clock work on its South Atherton Street (Route 3014) project that stretches from Curtin Road to just north of Westerly Parkway in State College starts Monday. While the contractor will not work on Friday, October 4, or Saturday, October 5, to minimize traffic impacts for Penn State’s home matchup against Illinois, drivers traveling through the work zone can expect the following during the week of September 30.

​Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Secretary Mike Carroll today recognized 30 PennDOT employees for their outstanding performance with the Star of Excellence Award, PennDOT's highest recognition. Two from PennDOT's District 1, which represents Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties were among the honorees.
