Inspection Wednesday and Thursday on Windy Hill Road Bridge over I-83 in York County

​Traffic will be restricted on I-83.

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be traffic restrictions this week on Interstate 83 in southern York County so inspections can be performed on the Windy Hill Road (Route 2078) bridge spanning the interstate in Shrewsbury Township. 

Weather permitting, an inspection will be performed Wednesday, November 1, and Thursday, November 2, on the Windy Hill Road bridge spanning I-83 near mile markers 1.5 and 2 in Shrewsbury Township. There will be alternating right and left lane restrictions in both directions of I-83 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM both days.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the inspection crews.
