JFK Boulevard at 32nd Street over SEPTA Bridge Rehabilitation
Project Location
Overview
The existing bridge is a 395-foot long, 54-feet wide steel multi-girder bridge that spans SEPTA’s Airport, Wilmington/Newark, and Media/Wawa regional rail lines. The substructures were rehabilitated under a joint PennDOT/SEPTA project in 2020-2021. The bridge deck is scheduled for rehabilitation in 2027. The project is coordinated with the City of Philadelphia, Amtrak, SEPTA, Drexel University, the University City District, and the Schuylkill Yards development.
