Pickering Dam Road over Branch of Pickering Creek Bridge Replacement

Overview
This project is for the replacement of the existing bridge that carries Pickering Dam Road over an unnamed tributary to Pickering Creek in Charlestown Township, Chester County. The existing 19-foot span, concrete-encased steel I-beams structure was built in 1918. The bridge is in overall poor condition and is posted with weight restrictions.
As part of the proposed construction:
- The new structure will be slightly widened,
- New guide rail and end treatments will be installed, and
- Drainage facilities will be improved.
