The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) held a meeting regarding the Skinners Falls Bridge on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM. The meeting was a recorded virtual Microsoft Teams meeting. The video can be found by going to the Skinners Falls Bridge web page. A question and answer session was held after the presentation. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to virtual and public plans displays regarding the Route 6309 Kidder St & Route 2061 Mundy St Crossroads Improvement Partnership in Plains Township, the City of Wilkes-Barre, Wilkes-Barre Township, Luzerne County. The public plans display will be held at the Plains Township Fox Hill Firehouse No. 2 Building, 50 Second Street, Plains, PA 18705 on November 25, 2024 beginning at 6:00 PM.

The traffic switch will occur between November 18, 2024, and November 21, 2024, pending weather conditions, between mile marker 223 and mile marker 228.7. Motorists are advised to expect intermittent overnight single lane closures and a traffic split, with the work zone separating the left lane from the right lane for approximately 72 hours, as the traffic switch is implemented. The exit ramp at MM 223 southbound for New Milford, will only be accessible from the right lane during the traffic split.

The Parker Street Heritage Valley parking area in Scranton, Lackawanna County will be closed to traffic from Monday, October 28, 2024 through Thursday, October 31, 2024 in order facilitate delivery of bridge beams. In addition, the bridge beams will be delivered on Monday, October 28 and Tuesday October 29. There may be intermittent traffic delays along the route as follows throughout the day:
