Route 40 National Pike Surface and Safety Improvements Begin Tomorrow in Fayette County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing single-lane restrictions are scheduled to begin tomorrow, Tuesday, September 26 on Route 40 (National Pike) between Bruceton Road (Route 281) and Mae West Road (Route 281) in Henry Clay Township, Fayette County.

Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place during active work periods and are anticipated through late November depending on weather and operations.

A. Folino Construction will be milling the road, placing new asphalt, adding new turning lanes, pavement markers, signage, and painting.

Motorists should exercise caution traveling through work zones and be alert for workers. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
