Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is
announcing a lane closure on the ramp that carries traffic from northbound
Route 837 to southbound Route 885 in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County,
has been extended through September 2024.
An around-the-clock,
long-term lane closure on the ramp that carries traffic from northbound Route
837 to southbound Route 885 (Glass Run Road/Mifflin Road exit) that began
February 15 will remain in place through mid-September 2024. A single-lane of
traffic will be maintained on the ramp as crews continue construction of a
pedestrian walkway and ramp. Baldwin Road will be narrowed between Glass Run
Road and Mifflin Road.
Additionally, a
pedestrian detour will be implemented at 9 a.m. Thursday, September 21 and
remain in place around-the-clock through mid-September 2024. Pedestrians
heading southbound towards Route 837 will cross Second Avenue at Renova Street
following the detour across the Glenwood Bridge, exiting at the stairs down to
the restricted Glass Run Road/Mifflin Road exit ramp. Pedestrians will then
follow the detoured path and cross over Glass Run Road and head eastbound to
Baldwin Road, then travel north to Route 837. Pedestrians heading northbound
will utilize the same detour in the opposite direction.

Construction, LLC will conduct the work.
