Nighttime milling and paving work on Route 19 (Peach Street) from Oliver Road to Rotunda Drive in Summit Township, Erie County will start May 28, 2024, weather permitting.
Motorists may encounter lane restrictions with traffic controlled by flaggers between the hours of 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM Sunday nights through Friday mornings.
The night work is part of a $2.6 million resurfacing project that will give motorists a smoother ride on more than a mile of Route 19. It is expected to be completed in September 2024.
PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
