Route 426 Bridge
Replacement Project
Project Overview
The purpose of the project is to replace the bridge that carries Route 426 (Spring Creek Corry Road) over Shirley Run approximately 4.5 miles north of the intersection with Route 27 in Spring Creek Township, Warren County.
The existing reinforced concrete structure was constructed in 1935. It is classified as poor condition. Approximately 850 vehicles a day use the bridge, on average.
The project will include replacing the existing structure with a precast box culvert. Work will also include new roadway approaches and updated guiderail and pavement markings.
A detour will be required during construction and is expected to be in place for approximately five weeks. The proposed 21.8-mile detour route will be posted using Route 27 and Route 6. Work is expected to occur during the 2024 construction season.
