With snow in the forecast for the first time this season, the northwest region of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is reminding motorists to be prepared and slow down during inclement weather.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the Pennsylvania DUI Association, the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), the American Automobile Association (AAA) and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) today held an event to remind motorists of the importance of buckling up and driving sober this holiday season.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today marked the completion of the 2024 construction and summer maintenance season and the 95 projects that had active work take place in District 1, which includes Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties. Work in 2024 included paving nearly 66 miles of roadway, seal coating more than 400 miles, and replacing or repairing 25 bridges.

The northwest region of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has updated the weekly county maintenance schedules listed online to reflect work planned for the week of October 7, 2024.
Due to the seasonal change to winter operations and winter shifts, the weekly publication of county maintenance schedules is being suspended after today. They will resume in the spring.
