Cornish Hill Road Bridge Project
Project Overview
This is a project make repairs to the bridge that carries Cornish Hill Road over Pine Valley Brook in Columbus Township, Warren County.
The bridge is located on Cornish Hill Road (Route 4004) between the intersection with Humphrey's Corners Road and the intersection with Pine Valley Road (Route 4007).
The project includes the replacement of the upper portion of the existing bridge. Work will also include minor paving near the bridge and updates to drainage and roadway shoulders. No right-of-way acquisition is anticipated.
The existing concrete adjacent box beam bridge was built in 1987. It is classified as poor condition. Approximately 225 vehicles a day use the bridge, on average.
Work is expected to occur during the 2025 construction season.
Traffic Impacts
A detour will be required during construction and is expected to be in place for approximately four months. The proposed 2.7-mile detour route will be posted using Humphrey's Corners Road and Pine Valley Road.
