gINT

gINT software by Bentley is used to manage, report, and database geotechnical information. The gINT Library and Data template have been customized for PennDOT Projects and are available by joining the gINT Subscription List. A Strike-Off Letter was issued, link below, detailing how gINT software is to be incorporated into the project development process. PennDOT is using gINT Professional Plus Connect Edition Version 10 Enterprise edition. PennDOT Business Partners responsible for geotechnical constituents of the project development process will need to purchase gINT Professional Connect Edition Version 10 to prepare gINT Project files and to produce standardized geotechnical documents for placement in PennDOT reports and on PennDOT plans.

gINT Subscription List:

Users must join the gINT Subscription List and are required to provide a completed copy of the gINT Subscription Sign Up Form including the last 4 digits of the FEIN (Federal Identification Number), and a signed copy of the last page of the Commonwealth's Management Directive 205.34 "Commonwealth IT Resource Acceptable Use Policy User Agreement Commonwealth Contractor or Consultant" (link to the Management Directive is also provided on the gINT Subscription Sign Up Form). Once the information is received, users will be emailed PennDOT's gINT Library and Data template files, and a copy of the gINT Field Data Collection Tool. User should note that PennDOT's gINT Library and Data template are based on the current Publication 222 Geotechnical Investigation Manual soil and rock description criteria. Users will need to use gINT Professional Connect Edition Version 10 or higher.

Completed gINT Project File Upload:

To receive the directions on how to upload a completed please complete the gINT Subscription Form and return it to gintsupport@pa.gov. You will then be emailed the directions on how to upload your completed gINT Project files.
