Long-Range Transportation (LRTP) and Freight Movement Plan (FMP) Public Comment Period Update

The Public Comment Period for the Draft LRTP and FMP has closed, but our work on finalizing the plans is just beginning.
Thank you to those who took the time to review the draft plans and provide comments. Public and stakeholder involvement has been a critical component of the plan development process. The feedback we received during the comment period will help to further shape the plans and to inform the next steps in the planning process.
Public engagement by the numbers:
- Over 400 comments received
- Reached 183,392 social media users
- 2,230 pageviews on the Public Comment Period website
- 618 state-wide local public libraries received copies of the plans for public review
Both plans are in the final stages and are scheduled for adoption in 2021. The final plans will be posted on the PennDOT Planning webpage.
