Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that northbound Columbus Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes at Penn's Landing for approximately two months beginning Monday, July 1, for PECO utility construction, as part of the $329 million Interstate 95 CAP project to replace and expand the covered area over the interstate in Center City Philadelphia.

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overnight construction activities are planned on southbound Interstate 95 under a $37.4 million project to perform high-priority repairs on 27 I-95 bridges in Philadelphia to maintain the functionality, safety, and mobility of the structures along this critical corridor.

Motorists are advised that Route 54 is closed in both direction between the intersection with Route 44 in Turbotville in Northumberland County the intersection with Route 44 (White Hall Road) in Anthony Township, Montour County, due to a vehicle crash.

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are scheduled on several state highways in Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that barrier construction will occur at night beginning Saturday, June 29, on Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) in Philadelphia under a $36.8 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and more than 20 bridges.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that single-lane restrictions on Interstate 70 are scheduled to occur Monday, July 1 and Tuesday, July 2, between Exit 46A/46B (Route 51) and Exit 49 (Smithton) in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County, depending on weather and operations.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) issued an update for a project to improve approximately five miles of Route 522 in Lewistown Borough and Derry and Decatur townships in Mifflin County. This work will address drainage deficiencies throughout this corridor and improve the ride quality of the road surface and multiple structures within the project limits.

Motorists are advised a resurfacing project will begin next week on Route 87 in Montoursville Borough, Fairfield Township, Upper Fairfield Township, and Plunketts Creek Township, Lycoming County.

The week of Monday, July 1, 2024, contractor, Kriger Construction, continues work in the northbound lane on Main Street (Route 199) between Spruce Street and Cooper Street. Work includes new pavement, drainage improvements, utility relocations, sidewalk and curb improvements, ADA curb ramp installations, traffic signal upgrades, driveway adjustments, signing and pavement markings and other miscellaneous construction. No construction work will be completed between July 4 and July 7. Work will resume the week of Monday, July 8, 2024.

Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement and roadway project will begin on Route 287 in Pine Township, Lycoming County. Starting on Monday, July 8, 2024, Route 287 will be closed at Lick Run Road (Route 4006), while the contractor, LTT Trucking LLC, begins work to replace the structure carrying Route 287 over Lick Run.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on Route 28 in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Saturday and Sunday, June 29-30 weather permitting.

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction activities are planned next week on U.S. 422 under an $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.

Today, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) partnered with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), Highway Safety Network, and Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firemen’s Association to promote safe driving during the summer season during a safety day at the Welcome Center located in Mount Morris. The event featured safety activities and provided visitors with summer travel tips.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) updated drivers on the schedule for its South Atherton Street (Route 3014) project that stretches from Curtin Road to just north of Westerly Parkway in State College. While the contractor will not work on Thursday, July 4, or Friday, July 5, in observance of the Independence Day holiday, drivers traveling through the work zone can expect the following Monday, July 1, through Wednesday, July 3.
